Motorola has officially announced that the launch date for the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion in India is set for next week. The exciting news was shared through an X post on Wednesday (May 8). Flipkart will be the platform where you can get your hands on this amazing device.
This phone was initially introduced in select markets, including Europe, in April. It was unveiled alongside the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra and Motorola Edge 50 Pro. While the latter is already available in India, the Edge 50 Fusion is eagerly awaited.
With its impressive features like a 144Hz refresh rate display, IP68-rated build, 50-megapixel dual rear cameras, and 68W fast charging support, this smartphone is worth the wait. It is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, ensuring a smooth and efficient performance.
The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is set to be unveiled in India on May 16th at 12:00 pm IST. Motorola is teasing the launch on its official X handle. Flipkart has a dedicated landing page with the phone’s specifications.
According to Flipkart’s website, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion will be available in Forest Blue, Hot Pink, and Marshmallow Blue shades, offering up to 12GB of onboard RAM. The phone is teased to run on Android 14-based Hello UI and comes with a 6.7-inch curved pOLED display featuring a 144Hz refresh rate, 1,600 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It will also have an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The Indian version of Motorola Edge 50 Fusion will be powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC and will support up to 12GB of RAM. It will come with a dual rear camera setup featuring a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C primary sensor and a 13MP ultrawide macro shooter. Additionally, the phone will have a 32MP front camera.
The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is anticipated to support 15 5G bands and Wi-Fi 6 in India. It will come with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 68W fast charging and an IP68-rated water-repellent construction.
Motorola has not yet announced the pricing for the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion in India. The phone was released in Europe with a base price of EUR 399, which is approximately Rs. 35,900.
