JioCinema Premium monthly subscription plans are now cheaper than Disney+ Hotstar, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video plans in India.
You will be surprised to know that JioCinema Premium Plans are now available for purchase in India on a monthly subscription basis. JioCinema announced its new subscription plans on Thursday 25th April 2024. Viacom18’s platform allows users to watch movies and TV series from HBO, Paramount, Peacock, and Warner Bros. without ads, in up to 4K resolution. Users can also download content to watch it later offline. The basic plan supports streaming on only one screen, while a family plan extends that to four devices.
JioCinema Premium Plans Starting From Rs. 29 Per Month
The service’s website subscription page shows that a JioCinema Premium plan is currently available for Rs. 29 per month for one screen, while the ‘Family’ subscription for four screens costs Rs. 89. Keep in mind that the “special introductory pricing” hint that these plans might be priced at Rs. 59 and Rs. 149 per month in the future.
Previously, JioCinema Premium could be accessed through an annual subscription priced at Rs. 999. However, this option is no longer available on the streaming service’s website. Now, customers will need to choose the monthly plan instead. The good news is that with the current introductory pricing, the personal JioCinema Premium plan costs only Rs. 348, which is significantly lower than the previous plan. On the other hand, the ‘Family’ plan is priced at Rs. 1,068 for a year.

JioCinema Premium Plans Now Available At A Very Low Cost
JioCinema Premium Plans are now available at a very low cost in comparison to Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, and Amazon Prime Video. In India, the most affordable Netflix plan is Rs. 149 per month, whereas both Disney+ Hotstar and Amazon Prime Video charge Rs. 299 for a one-month subscription.
Meanwhile, on the JioCinema website, it is stated that both the individual and family plans will give you an ad-free streaming experience, except for live events and sports content like the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket tournament. However, if you opt for the JioCinema Premium plans, you will still see advertisements alongside the free access to sports content.
