Xiaomi’s HyperOS, a fresh interface tailored for Android smartphones, has seen a widespread release across numerous compatible smartphone models following its initial rollout at the close of February in the country. With this success, Xiaomi is now gearing up for the subsequent phase of HyperOS updates, extending its reach to include eligible Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones and tablets nationwide. Anticipation is high as the Chinese tech giant prepares to integrate HyperOS into its latest lineup, spanning from cutting-edge smartphones like the Xiaomi SU7 to smart home gadgets and even electric vehicles.

On Saturday, the company unveiled its comprehensive HyperOS rollout strategy for the second quarter of 2024 via a post on X (formerly Twitter). The lineup of eligible smartphones set to receive the HyperOS update includes a diverse range of Xiaomi models such as the Xiaomi 11 LiteXiaomi 11iXiaomi 11i HyperChargeXiaomi 11T ProMi 11 UltraMi 10Redmi K50iRedmi 12Redmi 11 Prime. Additionally, both the Redmi 13C series and Redmi Note 11 series are slated for the HyperOS upgrade. Notably, the Xiaomi Pad 5 is also on the list of devices scheduled to be updated to HyperOS, as confirmed by the company.

Upon the arrival of the HyperOS update on these Xiaomi and Redmi devices, users can anticipate enhancements in system performance, seamless task switching, and optimized message delivery. Notably, the company has indicated a reduction in the amount of inbuilt storage occupied by the system. Furthermore, tasks such as downloading and installing over-the-air (OTA) updates are expected to require less space and complete significantly faster compared to the previous MIUI 14 iteration.

After updating to HyperOS, users gain access to a plethora of lock screen customizations, along with revamped control center, icons, and fonts. Additionally, HyperOS introduces new productivity features such as Workstation Mode, specifically designed for tablets. Moreover, users can enjoy enhanced interconnectivity features, including the capability to mirror their phone’s screen on their tablet. With the Xiaomi Smart Hub, users can conveniently manage and control individual smart home devices from a single interface.

According to the company’s statement, the HyperOS update has already been distributed to a range of devices, including the Xiaomi 13 Pro, Xiaomi 12 Pro, as well as the Redmi Note 12 and Redmi Note 13 series smartphones, among others from the Redmi lineup. Additionally, both the Xiaomi Pad 6 and Redmi Pad have received the update as well. Looking ahead, the company plans to extend the HyperOS update to additional handsets and tablets throughout the remainder of the year.
